
Terry Shiels is an award-winning, Canadian-born, television producer and director of photography best known for outdoor productions. He began his broadcast career in 1980, as a TV News Photographer. Exploring the world with PM MAGAZINE, Terry specialized in producing adventure sports, travel, human interest and nature programming. Closer to home Terry hosted CAROLINA CAMERA and CAROLINA OUTDOORS features in the Carolinas. Terry helped create the inaugural Carolina Panthers DOM CAPERS SHOW, PANTHERS GAME DAY, and INSIDE PANTHERS FOOTBALL. In 1996, Terry launched SHIELS PRODUCTIONS with his first documentary, Plight of the Futaleufu, on PBS. Since 1998, SHIELS PRODUCTIONS has produced The Zoo Filez for The North Carolina Zoo. This award winning television series travels from North Carolina to the jungles of Africa to spread its’ earth friendly message. Through SHIELS PRODUCTIONS, Terry dedicates the full range of his TV experience to clients in a diverse range of industries.
